Where Can I Help?

At TSUMC we believe that stewardship is a way of life. Our mission is “SEEK GOD, SERVE GOD, SHARE GOD”.

  • We gratefully receive the gifts of God

  • We cultivate the gifts responsibly

  • We share the gifts lovingly with others

  • W e stand before the Lord in a spirit of accountability for these gifts and how we have used them

It is up to each of us to determine how we will be stewards. Volunteer stewardship is an opportunity to do great things for God and stewardship is an obligation to give our talents and skills to God.

Galatians 6:10 “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men.”

There are many opportunities to serve at TSUMC. Seek out your heart and your talents. Let us know if you are willing to serve in the following:

  • Acolytes – Youth, ages 8- and up, assist the clergy during the principal services.

  • Ushers and Greeters – Our ushers perform a ministry of hospitality and ensure that many of the mechanics of worship are run smoothly.

  • Communion Preparation – Ladies in our congregation prepare the bread and set up the Communion Table.

  • Liturgists – The Liturgist will assist the pastor with the worship service.

  • Music Ministry – Join our Sanctuary or Bell Choirs

  • Sunday School – The Bible commands us in Hebrew 10:24-25 “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as in the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

  • Teen and Youth Activities – A chance to touch the lives of young people awaits you with our Teen Group, IGNITE for Tweens and JAM for elementary ages. Come join the fun!

  • Outreach, Nurturing and Missions – If you enjoy helping others, there are many opportunities at TSUMC. Our members are involved with local, national and global missions.

Have fun leading or participating in fundraisers that support our church endeavors.
