An Invitation to Join

 

If you are interested in being a part of this great organization and using your gifts to enhance God’s church, we encourage you to come and join us.  Besides doing many charitable works, the men’s Work Crew does setups for church events and repair work at the church, parsonage, and other sites.  Those work sessions are an excellent time for fellowship and service. The TSUMC UMM is a chartered chapter.

UMM PURPOSE

 

Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships.  We are reminded that our commitment is to Jesus Christ and his church.

 

  • We encourage knowledge of and support for the total mission of the United Methodist Church.
  • We are to engage in evangelism by sharing the gospel in its personal and social dimensions.
  • We are to be committed to discipleship.
  • We are to study and become familiar with the United Methodist Church, its organization, doctrines and beliefs.
  • We encourage daily Bible study and prayer, and to bear witness to Christ’s way in daily work and in all personal contacts through word and actions.
  • We are to engage in some definite Christian service in our community, state, and nation.
  • We are to fulfill the “Great Commission.”
