United Methodist Women
“A Gold UMW Unit”

“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such
sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
Hebrews 13:16

The Purpose of the United Methodist Women is to know God, to experience freedom as whole persons

through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Through the years, the missionary motivation has been central to its purpose.

Members of the United Methodist Women meet monthly in small groups called circles. Here they develop close relationships as they pray for and nurture each other in learning, fellowship, service activities, Bible study and book studies.

There are also general members. These women are not in a particular circle but support UMW by helping with overall activities.

Meetings are held January  through December. The Ruth Circle meets the Second Wednesday of each month at 12:00 p.m. in the parsonage.

The Fanny Myrtle Smith Circle meets the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the church.

Check the monthly calendar on the EVENTS page for special unit meetings.

The UNIT meets quarterly at 6:30 pm. In December our UNIT meeting is held jointly with our United Methodist Men’s Group. This meeting is a church wide Christmas Dinner.

Throughout the year, the UMW  support missions for women and children in the local area.  We also financially support UMW’s work in national and global missions by our pledges and fundraising efforts. Most of members are involved in the UMW Reading Program.

We invite you to be a part of our  United Methodist Women.
